Plucky: A Night For Michael Chase

Our talented friends are putting on a night filled with song and dance to raise funds for Michael!

Plucky: A Night For Michael Chase

Join us on Wednesday September 3rd for an open mic session and fundraising dinner for our dear Michael!

Michael is a former Walt Disney Imagineer and creative behind Hong Kong Disneyland’s Storybook Theater, Castle of Magical Dreams, and World of Frozen. He has dedicated his career to creating magical experiences for all of us, and now he needs our help in creating a cancer-free future!

In December 2024, Michael was diagnosed with Mixed Phenotype Acute Leukemia with the Philadelphia Chromosome Mutation (MPAL, Ph+). He has spent this entire year fighting for his life with chemotherapy and radiation, and in June he had a bone marrow transplant. This was a big step toward recovery, but there’s still a long journey ahead with weekly hospital visits, tests, and medications. One of the long term drugs needed to make the transplant successful costs $600 HKD per day. His birthday is the day before our fundraiser… your donation, big or small, will make a difference in Michael’s fight!

Join us Wednesday September 3, 2025 from 8pm-10pm

After opening Shanghai Disneyland, the Chase Family moved back to Hong Kong in 2017 where Michael was a project manager who helped bring the magic of Arendelle to life in Hong Kong Disneyland’s newest land, World of Frozen.
From the Chase Family: special thanks to Eks Mesina for planning and coordinating this magical event! We are so grateful for the talented community joining together to create something unique in Michael’s honor!
